Sue Jones is Manx born and has been involved in photography in the Isle of Man both for pleasure and as part of her professional career for many years.

Many of Sue’s images have been published in local books, calendars, newsletters, as greeting cards and on websites.

Although all images within this site are now digital Sue still uses transparency film and has a background of film photography including Audio-Visual presentations and black and white darkroom work as well as scanning, correcting, retouching, enhancing and manipulating prints, slides and digital images.

Sue has been an active member of the Isle of Man Photographic Society for the past thirty years and is now a Life Member and Committee Member. More of Sue’s images can be seen on the Gallery page of the Society’s website:

Also connected to the Laxey Mines Research Group Sue was part of the Snaefell Wheel Project Team and the lead photographer for the group’s three-year project to bring home and reconstruct the Snaefell Mines water wheel now situated in the Laxey Valley Gardens. Sue accumulated over sixteen thousand digital images during the course of the project and a small number of these can be seen on the project’s website:
